Oh… the Sega Genesis. A classic console featuring some unforgettable games! So classic, in fact, one modder created this custom Sega Genesis handheld console. The modder states:
“I know I could have used an emulator for this. That’s not the point. It’s a hobby, it’s a challenge. I don’t do this just to play games on, I do it for the knowledge and experience I gain from it.”
The project’s housing is custom made using vacuum- formed plastic and weights just 1.5 pounds. The screen is a 3 ½ inch LCD with surprisingly clear and sharp images. This is the new and improved version 2.0 of his portable console (see v1.0 here). Another superb portable project inspired by Ben Heck.
